A Day in the Life at White Rann Resort: Food, Activities & Culture

The White Rann Resort offers visitors a distinctive experience as it is situated within the surreal White Rann of Kutch. Accommodations are provided in stylish tents allowing guests to experience the local culture surrounding the White Rann Resort.

Each day offers plenty of delicious food, adventure, and an opportunity to immerse themselves in the vibrant local culture.

Morning Experience

Most guests can begin their next day by enjoying a Thai buffet breakfast between the hours of 8:30 AM and 10:30 AM at the Banquet Hall, featuring a wide range of menu options, including traditional Gujarati Breakfasts; dhoklas; theplas; and fresh homemade chai. Following the completion of their breakfast, most guests generally look forward to taking a camel ride or participating in a photography session to capture the dark and alluring beauty of the salt desert, all in the company of the majestic and breathtakingly beautiful White Rann.

Food

The resort offers buffet-style dining with a wide variety of vegetarian options. Daily, lunch will be served from 12pm to 2.30pm, and at 4pm, guests will be offered snacks, and dinner will be served at 8pm. All meals will include vegetarian options. Kutchi and Gujarati specialties are very popular among our guests; some examples include undhiyu, kadhi, and desserts. Guests regularly comment on how "amazing" the food is, as it is made to order and prepared by the chefs at the resort.

Activities During the Day

After lunch, guests can utilise the resort's amenities - such as the children's play area that includes a swing set. Alternatively, guests can book activities available at the resort's on-site adventure centre, such as para-sailing, dirt biking or ATV riding. Many guests return to experience the stunning views of the White Rann, camel safari rides, or to shop for local handicrafts, such as traditional embroidery or pottery.

Cultural Performances in the Evening

Cultural performers perform local cultural music, dance, and Kutchi Arts on the main stage at night as it becomes dark outside and the stage lights begin to create a party-like atmosphere. There are dinner buffets with chaat kiosks serving mocktails for guests prior to the performances, marking the end of a relaxing day spent in luxury tents with temperature control.

Overnight Dining Experience

Tents offer a modern, comfortable atmosphere with heaters (important during the cool evenings of the desert) that enables guests to relax by stargazing or reading before retiring for the night.

White Rann Resort captures the essence of Rann Utsav's wonder, leaving visitors with cherished memories of flavour, adventure, and heritage amid the infinite white expanse.
