Velavadar National Park, also known as Blackbuck National Park, is a 34.5 square kilometre expanse of green grass and wildlife situated in the Bhavnagar District of Gujarat, India. The park is notable for its custard coloured grass along with the notable number of species living in the park, including around 1800 blackbucks, blue bulls, wolves, and over 120 species of birds such as pelicans and flamingos. If you're planning to visit the park, you have the best chance of seeing wolves during the early morning hours. The rest of the day, you will likely see blackbucks and birds. There are also jeep safaris and photography tours to observe wildlife and the unique behaviours they exhibit. This area has an unrivalled ecosystem, with the Parvalia river to the north and the Alang river to the south, that nature lovers and adventure seekers should enjoy.
Visiting the Safari
